About Violette
Violette is an international burlesque performer who has captivated audiences across Canada, the USA, and Europe, including Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, New Orleans, London, Stockholm, and the 2018 Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. She is known for the grace, glamour, and musicality of her solo burlesque acts, as well as the hilarity and storytelling of her group and duet acts. In 2018 Violette performed her group act “Menstrual Tango” at the prestigious Burlesque Hall of Fame’s "Movers, Shakers and Innovators" Showcase, and in 2020 she was invited to compete in the Small Group category with her duet partner Dame Pérignon, and her “Cry me a River” solo was accepted as an Alternate for Best Debut.
Violette is the co-founder of House of Hush Burlesque, co-producer of the live jazz and burlesque show The Canary Room, and co-producer of Clue: A Burlesque Murder Mystery. She is the creator of The Violette Underground, a pop-up speakeasy burlesque show, and a regular cast member with Edmonton theatrical company Send in the Girls Burlesque.
In her muggle life, Violette is an award-winning Art Director, graphic designer, and illustrator, working on International branding projects and advertising campaigns. In 2018 she received her Master of Design (MDes) and teaches at various post-secondary Design Studies programs.
